Mr. Bruce Hoggard, the founder of Hoggard International, has worked extensively with companies throughout North America, Asia and Europe.

 

Motivated by a concern and interest in solving clients’ needs, Bruce recognizes success is achieved by a coordinated and sustained team effort. To this end he leads a team of seasoned professionals working with clients to solve their international business concerns while providing direction and valuable market insight.

 

Bruce Hoggard's international reputation within 16 industries in Canada, Europe and Asia is a direct result of his work during the past twenty-eight years. He has worked with more than 170 companies to research, plan, develop and establish business, marketing and entry strategies for their products and services. During this time he has assisted companies within 20 countries with several winning awards, including the Canadian Export Award.

 

As previous Chairman of the Canadian Institute of Marketing, and his contribution to, and support of, the Canadian Institute of Marketing, Bruce was awarded his Fellowship in the Institute in 1999. In addition, Mr. Hoggard was the driving force behind Canada joining the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation (APMF) and since 1997 has represented Canada on the Board of Directors. Now called the AMF, it is an organization representing the Marketing Institutes and Associations throughout Asia.

 

Bruce's International network of contacts, both business and personal, extend throughout 25 countries and is a result of having lived and worked in England and Singapore, his frequent travels to Asia and Europe as well as his numerous volunteer commitments. These have won him international recognition including the Government of Canada Certificate of Merit; a Soviet Certificate of Appreciation and special Olympic Medal; and the Business Excellence Award from the Hong Kong Canadian Chamber of Commerce for his professional and export work in China.

With a proven ability to transfer knowledge and understanding, Bruce has taught at the under-graduate and graduate levels domestically in Canada and internationally. He started teaching at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Commerce (Edwards School of Business) in 1992 until 2006. During that time he taught in the MBA, the Business Administration, and under-graduate programs. Bruce also designed and taught the Intercultural Management class in Switzerland and the Business Strategy course in Hong Kong as well as several courses for the Gabriel Dumont College in Saskatchewan. He also designed and prepared the international business course for Assumption University in Thailand.

 

Bruce has been published numerous times with articles appearing in Just Food.com and several other electronic and hard copy magazines and journals. He has also worked with book publishers to vet international text books used at the undergraduate and graduate levels of education.

 

Bruce holds several international and national professional designations in marketing, business and consulting as well as an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan.
